8th vinyl release of Riddim Chango Records consists of 2 unreleased dubplates by the godfather of Japanese Dub/Soundsystem music, Mighty Massa. The legend presented several exclusives to Riddim Chango Records and we carefully picked 2 heavyweight tunes to release.

A-side “Rise Up” is uplifting pure raw drum-machine production will cause explosion on soundsystems brutally.
B-side “Midnight Stars” is pathetic and weighty mid-tempo analog synth steppers which make people feel it more with every listen. Both sides have serious Dubwise version for soundsystem play and meditation purpose.

Vinyl are housed in a full colour reverse sleeve display a photo which Massa himself played at Red-I Soundsystem in Fukuoka, Japan back in the old-school days. Limited 300 copies.

All tracks were tested with stacks of soundsystem before its final master. So you know what's happening when it's played on scoops.

Mighty Massa Japan

Mighty Massa started the first UK Roots style soundsystem in 1994. His releases/dubplates were played by soundsystem giants, Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti to name few from late 90s. A truly legend and pioneer of Japanese Roots/Dub/Soundsystems scene.
